The Hotel is located right in the historic centre, near Piazza Duomo, at Via del Proconsolo 3.
ACCESS TO THE ZTL (Limited Traffic Area)
The city of Florence has established ZTL in downtown area. The Access Points are controlled by traffic camera that detects the car plate number. The Grand Hotel Cavour is situated within ZTL area that is in operation: Monday- Friday from 7.30 to 19.30 Saturday from 7.30 to 18.30. Access to ZTL is for vehicles that are parked in an authorized Car Parking. The Grand Hotel Cavour has an agreement with Car Parking that provide the withdrawal and dropoff of our guests the vehicles. Important: guest needs to make sure the garage transmits the car plate number to the city police authorities in order to avoid a fine. From December 2012, the cost for each entrance and transmission is 1 euro.

By car From Rome
220 kms -Highway A1 exit Firenze Sud- Direction Centro follow "Lungarno" (along the river) until you find the Mediterraneo Hotel on your right hand side. You will have to turn right entering the Viali and then turn left at the first traffic light. Keep staying on the left and turn on the Viali towards the river .Keep your right hand and turn right along the river. Go straight until you reach a square named "Piazza dei Cavallegeri " at this point go straight and enter Corso dei Tintori reaching the traffic light follow the street to its end and turn right in Via Verdi, go ahead and at the next traffic light turn left in Via dell'Oriuolo. Continue straight in Via dell’Oriuolo, at the end of the street , turn left and you will find Via del Proconsolo and the Grand Hotel Cavour !
By car From Bologna
80 kms. - Highway A1 - exit FIRENZE NORD - Direction "Centro" Follow directions to "Centro - Viali Circonvallazione" towards the Arno river until you reach a square "Piazza Beccaria" . After the square go straight till you reach the river then turn right along the river. Go straight until you reach a square named "Piazza dei Cavallegeri " at this point go straight and enter Corso dei Tintori reaching the traffic light follow the street to its end and turn right in Via Verdi, go ahead and at the next traffic light turn left in Via dell'Oriuolo. Continue straight in Via dell’Oriuolo, at the end of the street , turn left and you will find Via del Proconsolo and the Grand Hotel Cavour !
